New owners are trying hard - dinner hours now. They are trying to keep things from getting past $11...but I think that has resulted in shrinkage on the philly and corned beef sandwiches with fries. Smaller sandwich, maybe less fries too. Do miss when Sonny could recognize my phone call order and knew that I was a brown bag only (no styrofoam, no condiments, no utensils) customer. He probably also knew my order too, but courteously allowed me to tell him what I wanted.
Friendly, fast, and consistent. The prices are very acceptable. It's take out diner food and I'm good with that
Great service place looks great love the slot machines I made 150$ thay have a candy bar and chips and cheese. And open from 5-9 for dinner
Pete no longer owns Pete's Grill, but I'll say that the new owner is doing a solid job. I haven't noticed a change in the quality of the food. Prices have gone up slightly but not as much as at a lot of places.
Pete's Grill is the best breakfast and lunch place ever I have yet to have lunch here yet but every time I have breakfast there I always go for the sausage Patty egg and cheese on wheat hands-down, the best breakfast sandwich I've ever had in Chicago,

The best place in the area to pick up a quick delicious breakfast or lunch. The food was better than I expected. Huge portions and very reasonably priced. Great food and quick service.
I work 4 doors down from pete and I am so glad that I do because their food tasted like quality. The Howard red line stop is not the safest place to be so I stay away from it and due to that I didnt know about Petes. One of my coworkers told me and I am so glad that they did because the food was great. Their menu is large and can be overwhelming but its okay. As long as you know what you like, you wont be disappointed. I had over hard eggs with corned beef hash, wheat toast and side turkey bacon. I cleaned out that to go box. So good. I took a menu to go and have been ordering since because if you work in the proximity they will personally deliver and that says a lot about a business
